Field Day Retrospective

Lots and LOTS of folks helped, and that made it Great, not good. Gonna tell the story in pictures.

If you weren’t there, you should’a been!

Hooking up the Air Conditioning on the Tent (thankfully, not all THAT needed!)

Drone operated by KC5PIQ installing pull lines for Field Day antennas. These were the highest and best performing ever, IMO!

ARRL Sections worked during 2017 Field Day

Total “QSO” score (GOTA contacts (30), Social Media, PR, and other bonus points not included – that’ll come next week, maybe)

Sunday morning 10 meter run!

DXCC Entities worked during Field Day

This below is the batch of “NEW” W5NOR Logbook of The World contacts uploaded after Field Day

This was a Facebook Live broadcast on Sunday morning. Hang out until the end to see what 24 hours of operating does to an Amateur!!!

Here’s a thumbnail from that video:
MANY other photos were taken. I’ll share more next week!

 Collector & Emitter

Here is the direct link to the historical issues of CORA’s almost 30 year long, monthly publication, The Collector & Emitter. Lot’s of great stories, True and Fiction, MANY club meeting notes, Happenings in Oklahoma Amateur Radio, and for me at least, a ton of memories about the Amateur Radio Dealers which we had in the OKC area. Lots and lots of fun reading.

When you start reading these, the clock will just melt away…
