Of course, the BIG NEWS this week is the SCARS Spring Picnic tomorrow. There WILL be good food, good friends, and good eyeball QSOs! Directions are below, but remember Denny’s info is “good in the Callbook”! For those of you who have yet to get your Pixie Kit from Mark, he will have them at the Picnic. And there *is* a new “kit” coming! This week’s “Link of the Week” is talked about a bit, but you CANNOT know how much is really there until you click in – lots of good meat there, The Doctor is “talking” – wait for it – “Kits and Kit Building”, Amateur Radio Newsline is full of good and bad news, and Ham Nation has a variety of topics including, wait for it, “The Pine Board Project” .
“See” you on-the-air, and Tomorrow at the Picnic!
Spring Picnic – TOMORROW!
The Spring picnic is TOMORROW @ 4PM
9400 Banner Road, Lexington
If you are coming from 84th on Banner, the turn is less than a 100 feet past the Chouteau Creek bridge. If coming from 96th, don’t cross the bridge – you just missed the turn. Here’s what it looks like from space.
If your favorite smart device APP gets you lost, call on 147.06, and we’ll do our best to give you vectors.
Mark will have undelivered Pixie Kits at the Picnic!
Link of the Week
When I dropped in on this site, it was displaying a 6 meter opening from Atlanta into Europe. If nothing else, this site gives you the option to see which bands are open from somewhere to somewhere else, or maybe even into Oklahoma! There is a lot to see and learn here. Click in, Click around, and make it work for you.
There are propagation alerts, point-to-point forecasts, and timely DX News that you can use. Make it work! You can’t break it!
