TYT “Unbox” Event
Ham Radio 2.0’s KC5HWB, Jason, does one of his “Unboxing” events,
this time with the new, tri-band TYT TH-350.
Good info, worth the 15 minutes of your time.
Siren Net Needs Observers
The “Siren Net” occurs each Saturday, weather and events permitting, at noon on the SCARS UHF Repeater. Once the sirens begin to wind down in Norman and Moore, Peter – N5UWY, or a designated alternate, begins the roll call for reports. There are truly DOZENS of sirens covering the Norman and Moore areas, and still more observers are needed. Please check the maps and spreadsheet on the “Siren Net” webpage (https://w5nor.org/siren/) for the siren closest to you. If you can help out with this net even occasionally, contact Peter, N5UWY (email good on QRZ), or any Club Officer, to volunteer!

W8JI’s “Noise” Page
Charles, W8JI, curates and website that has a wide range of Amateur Radio topics, but I especially like his “Radio Noise” page. He addresses near-field, far-field, atmospheric, and man-made noise and how to mitigate their effects to Amateur Radio. You can read all about that here:
