OKDXA Meeting Saturday: 2019 TX7T – Marquesas DXpedition — Menu
Announcing the OKDXA Spring Zoom Meeting – April 10, 2021 – 7PM
Featured Speaker – Robert Brandon – K5PI – A member of the 2019 TX7T – Marquesas DXpedition
Please click the link below to join the webinar:
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83957366796?pwd=d2Rad0ZDQ0JpUVNHSEE1a0xYYUErdz09
Passcode: 078798
The Oklahoma DX Association (OKDXA) usually holds its Spring meeting at the Green Country Hamfest that would have been April 9 and 10 this year. But the pandemic has put the kibosh on that, so the OKDXA will have its meeting virtually via Zoom, thanks to the generous support of the Edmond Amateur Radio Society (EARS).
The OKDXA contributed to the 2019 TX7T (Marquesas Islands) DXpedition and now we’ll get to hear from one of the participants: Robert Brandon, K5PI. He has a remarkably beautiful presentation on the DXpedition that he’ll share with us on the evening of April 10th at 1900 CDT (0000 UTC 11 April) via Zoom. I’ve seen Robert’s presentation and it is AMAZING! Links forthcoming.
Finally, our ARRL Division Director John Stratton, N5AUS, will make a brief presentation on the state of the Logbook of the World and the initiative to improve and update LoTW along with — ultimately — properly funding its maintenance. More details on our website as they become available.
Note: You don’t have to be a member of the OKDXA to join the webinar, everyone is invited…
73,
Kim Elmore – N5OP
OKDXA Pres.
Kevin ODell N0IRW Retires as Oklahoma Section Manager — Menu
April 1, 2021
Oklahoma Section
American Radio Relay League
Hi Gang,
I have decided to step down as your Oklahoma Section Manager, effective April 9th. Between medical issues and just needing a break, I feel like it’s in the best interest of the section to step away. My replacement will be Mark Kleine, N5HZR. I know Mark will do an excellent job.
I am still going to be involved on the national level with the Public Relations Committee. I will also see all of you at hamfests. I want to thank you for all the support you have shown me through the years. I also want to thank the members of my Cabinet for all of their hard work. I couldn’t have done it without them.
I hope you will give Mark the same enthusiastic support you have given me. So, with that I will say 73.
Sincerely,
Kevin O’Dell, N0IRW
ARRL Oklahoma Section Manger
Member, ARRL Public Relations Committee
