Ham Holiday July 22/23 — Menu
This is the big event of the year for Central Oklahoma amateur radio operators. We will be meeting at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) again this year on July 22/23, 2022. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. The Friday evening BBQ Banquet is $25 and it starts at 7:00 pm. An ARRL Wouff Hong ceremony will be held at 9:00 pm on Friday. Friday the doors will be open from 3 pm to 7 pm. Saturday, the doors will be open from 8 am to 3 pm.

Sessions and forums will be held Saturday, and license testing will happen at 12:30 Saturday afternoon.
All details and ticket sales are available online at https://HamHoliday.com.
SCARS has three tables reserved for our members to display and sell their gear at the event. Bring your radios to sell, and buy some more.
Moore Night Out August 2 — Menu
The City of Moore will be hosting their “National Night Out” in Moore, on August 2nd. This annual event will be held in the parking lot of the Warren Movie Theater at 1000 Telephone Rd, Moore, OK. SCARS will be operating a demonstration station next to the Moore Mobile Command Center, out of a 12′ x 18′ tent. We’ll have some mobile stations set up. This will be a great way for you to visit with others that are interested in amateur radio. There will be more details in an upcoming newsletter but plan to bring some gear to demonstrate to the thousands of folks in attendance.
Our Elmer NIght will be moved to this location for the night (see article below). Bring your friends and enjoy the festivities.
Meeting Followup OK Robotics — Menu
Many thanks to Amber KD5YQU, Nathan KC5YTH, John, and Beau from OK Robotics for a great presentation yesterday. They had a great presentation on the process of building custom electronics projects, and they brought some neat ‘toys’ to see/play with.
The video of their presentation is available here and you can learn more about OK Robotics at https://OKRobotics.com
Elmer Night Moved August 2 — Menu
Due to the Moore Night Out, our August 2nd Elmer Night will be moved to the parking lot of the Warren theater, in Moore, OK. We’ll be able to answer questions and demonstrate some operating modes out there. Look for the Moore Command Center and we’ll be in a 12′ x 18′ tent next to it.
